Welcome to the Sounds of Fylm show. In this first episode you will find a preview through sound of the first screening event later in March at Verdant Taproom. The screening on Tuesday March 24th is a celebration of Falmouth University’s Sound/Image Cinema Lab’s ongoing partnership with Kernow’s film production company par excellence, Bosena. Music in the show comes from the three films screening that night, A Year in a Field (Morris, 2023), Tresor (Gwenno, 2022) and Pen Mari (Marshall-Waters, 2025).
In future shows you will be able to hear the on-stage conversations recorded the previous month. For the inaugural sonic outing, host Neil Fox shares some of his favourite sounds from films, including his own, plus some recent soundtrack and score highlights, including a track from a record purchased at a recent Taproom record fair. Enjoy, and see you in the dark.
