Electricity Will Kill You

This 60-minute radio piece / podcast is a montage of interviews conducted at the Holifield Summer Party 2026 at Holifield Farm Project in Gweek, Cornwall. Conversations were held with organisers of the inaugural ‘Electric Woods’ stage, performers and people connected with the history of the event and the wider electronic music scene. The piece links together events and collectives that champion electronic music in South West Cornwall, including Electricity Will Kill You, ESC, Electronic Open Mic Night and Liminality. Celebrating grassroots electronic music and the development of a supportive community of artists, the piece documents the background of the DIY electronic music collective Electricity Will Kill You, its links to Holifield, performer backgrounds, perspectives on the wider Cornish electronic music scene and reflections on the event itself. The interviews are interspersed with audio of some of the performances over the weekend collected from the artists’ WhatsApp group. An accompanying video features photos and videos merged with a 3D model of The Electric Woods stage and text from the interviews.
