Before Andy joins us at the Taproom in October he joins Matthew Shaw for a conversation about his musical journey. Via trips to Cornwall and a guitar playing uncle who taught him all the classics from The Stones and The Beatles and into The Velvet underground. Andy Bell of pioneering shoegazers RIDE is parking his Space Station in low Earth orbit to take the GLOK-mobile for a spin to a venue near you this October. GLOKtober offers a rare chance to see Andy performing live as his electronic alter ego, where he brilliantly weaves together throbbing dubbed-out acid, levitational psychedelia, Balearic, ambient, techno, Kosmische, shoegaze, art-rock and Compass Point-style post punk, with his virtuoso guitar playing and musicianship to the fore.
